London for the weekend and FREE Blueberry pancakes recipe

So my cousin from China has never made her own pancakes before so I thought I’d share how I like my pancakes in the morning!

Watch it on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/embed/xR_-icJeEu0

And she also has never been to London, so I had a bit of a tourist moment to show people around the world some of London.

Blueberry Pancakes recipe:

Serves 1-2 people

1/2 cup plain flour

1 egg

A punnet of blueberries and honey to serve

100ml milk (adjust as necessary for the consistency of your pancake)

Method:

  1. Beat the egg.
  2. Mix in the flour.
  3. Add the milk slowly to archive the consistency that you want. The thicker the consistency the thicker the pancakes, and the longer it will take to cook.
  4. Mix all of the ingredients well and then leave to combine for a few minutes.
  5. In a well oiled medium heat frying pan, use a ladle to proportion the pancakes and drop in some blueberries. Leave it to cook on one side.
  6. When the pancake is able to move/be peeled off, flip it over to cook the other side until equally toasted.
  7. Serve with blueberries and honey, bon appetite!

Great variations of this recipe is to replace the egg with a very ripe banana to make banana pancakes. To add a healthy kick, switch the plain flour for wholemeal plain flour!

So how do YOU like your pancakes?? Savoury or sweet? Have a weird combination/topping you like? Lets us know in the comments below!

When ‘the talk’ doesn’t have a happy ending

So you’ve been seeing this guy/girl for a while but you both haven’t had the serious talk about where you both stand, but what happens if it all doesn’t pan out as you had imagined?

Relationships rejection and having the talk about where you both stand in a relationship
Having the talk and realising you both aren’t on the same page is something we all need to clear up.

Firstly, if they’re beating around the bush and cannot commit. Be suspicious.

If they’re serious about you and being monogamous, it should be in black and white. But if they dither and starts making excuses, then maybe you should question whether they are actually able to fully commit and be serious. If they have so many doubts and problems at the beginning, then this can dictate what the rest of the relationship will be like. If you strip away all the sugar-coating and kind words, are his actions and body language saying the same thing?

Maybe it’s not the right time, especially if there’s someone else in the picture. Both of your feelings maybe running high, but rushing from one relationship to the next isn’t good for either parties. Having a clear mind whilst apart might make it easier to understand the situation.

Maybe it will be easier if you write it out if you can’t articulate it at the time.

If he rejects you on the spot after the talk with a lame excuse, then maybe he isn’t worth it. But never blame yourself. You can do better than anyone that belittles or uses you.

Although it may feel like it now, it’s NOT the end of the world. Everyone deserves someone who doesn’t take them for granted.

As cliché as it sounds, there really is more fish in the sea. And you aren’t going to meet them all sitting in one place! So check out why you should travel the world.

Whilst it may have been short-lived and ‘not a real relationship’ it may still feel like it was, so check out the 5 stages of a break up and how to get over it.

Have you ever had an un-happy ending? Do you have any great advice? Let us know in the comments below!

Just keep swimming!

My 3 looks for spring/summer 2015

Here are my three favourite picks for this s/s15

White is a brilliant colour to work  with, wear it in blocks or accents. Dare to go all white out!
These shorts reminded me of a high-end fashion brand with its orange and navy prints. Wear with this seasons slouchy orange organza shirt or dress up with a smart top. Avoid navy to look like a bankers uniform.

Last but definitely not least. Chanel should be in every girls wardrobe.

Shorts from River IslandWhite bold print skort, Jacket from Missguided – White cape jacket, Top from Mango (similar from River Island)

White is a brilliant colour to work  with, wear it in blocks or accents. Dare to do an all white outfit!
These shorts reminded me of a high-end fashion brand with its contemporary orange and navy prints. Wear with this seasons slouchy orange organza shirt or dress up with a smart top. Avoid navy as it may look like a bankers uniform. Victoria Beckham is an avid fan of the vivid orange shade that you can see in her s/s15 collection in House of Fraser and the like.

Playsuit from River Island. Cream metallic tweed playsuit.

And last, but definitely not least..Chanel should be in every girls wardrobe. For a budget friendly take on it, look for tweed fabrics and pearl finishes. Team with a matching jacket or a similar shade to complete this outfit!

Now, I don’t have a problem with people sharing their love of a new product they have recently discovered, I do it myself. However, what niggles me the most is when that product is wrongly advertised and pay numerous celebrities just to grow their sales.

So let’s strip this down…

Oil pulling is an age-old thing that’s been around for decades. And from what I have gathered from my research, it’s basically using oil as a mouth wash. Note: MOUTHWASH and not a ‘natural way to WHITEN teeth’ So by using this method you’re removing toxins from your mouth to promote oral heath, which may lead to brighter pearly whites.

The only way to get proper results is by whitening teeth with prescribed peroxide, that you can only get from dentists. Like anything else; lightening hair with hair bleach, or your skin with whitening products that contain small doses of a type of peroxide.

Moral: Before you start buying into the hype, do a bit of your own research.

My guilty pleasure is still watching Made In Chelsea.
