Fashion: Why are people wearing boots in the heat?

So if you’ve been living in the temperature controlled environment, you’ve probably not had the joy of frolicking in the heat wave. During my recent bop into the city centre I’ve noticed some girls wearing leather jackets and over the knee boots in the 30 degree (Celsius) heat. Are they not MELTING??

Similar Kendall’s outfit: Givenchy bag, slouch boots/horse hair inspired boots, vintage knitted poncho, vintage belt buckles.

I always have to include the most influential fashion icons of the time, maybe it’s the impracticalities of fashion that people are mindlessly following that is causing this. And maybe it is, as they’re keeping up to date with images from these celebrities that were taken a while back, but still insist on dressing as. It wouldn’t be the first; note those heels you cannot walk in, but refuse to throw them away.

Or maybe it’s all the festivals that are happening at the moment, where boots are essential for the mud and puddles. It’d be fashion forward leading the pack again, but no, these people are not going to a festival. There are none nearby that they could possibly stumble in from, and it’s not particular to the hippy festive look.

What is happening??

They’re the people who aren’t aware of checking the weather reports, and pull on what they’d normally wear in spring, boots and coats.

The conclusion I’ve drawn is that summer has simply crept up on us, and as brits, we’re prepared for anything!

Maybe they regretted it later, but they sure as hell rocked it anyway.

Those boots were made for walkin’

Rinniboo.
